Grip : GRIP February 2013
DEALERSHIPS GRIP NEW BAKER MOTORS A BORDER HIGHLIGHT CONTACT GRIP Editor BAKER Subaru in Albury has recently moved to new premises, and DP Martin Baker, is delighted with the outcome of years of planning and development. “We started thinking seriously about the project in late 2005,” Baker said. “The biggest hold-up to the project was the red tape associated with the acquisition of land from the railways. The initial architect’s plans date from 2007 and construction commenced in January 2012 and took almost all year. “We started full operations from the new site in January this year. We are grateful to Subaru Australia which was very supportive of our project and understanding of the operational difficulties,” Baker said. The Subaru showroom displays five vehicles, with another eight in the forecourt and one on ‘ the Subaru rock’ in the landscaped area.
