AFTERSALES GRIP CONTACT GRIP SUBARU USA SUBARU of America reported sales of 27,683 vehicles for the month of September, a 32 per cent increase over September 2011. The company also reported year-to-date sales of 245,463, which represents an impressive 25.5 per cent increase over prior year. September sales for Outback and Legacy models increased 39 per cent and 31 per cent, respectively, over September 2011. Also, September sales for Impreza were up 211 per cent over September 2011; year- to-date sales for Impreza have increased 155 per cent. “Subaru sales continue to rise because we have the right product, the right positioning and a strong retail network,” said Thomas J. Nationally, in September the network received the following scores: Overall 68.2 Sales 74.8 Service 61.6 Tasmania had the top Sales NPS with 83.4, with Southern (81.3) and Melbourne (81.1) running close in the battle for second. Southern was tops in Service NPS with 66.2, one point clear of Sydney with 65.2. Subaru remains the only manufacturer with 2012 IIHS Top Safety Picks for all models. With such strong September sales, Subaru is in an excellent position to exceed 300,000 units this year. SUBARU CANADA Subaru Canada had September sales of 2,686 units, up 21.6 per cent over the same month in 2011. It was the fifth consecutive month of record-breaking sales results. As year-to-date sales rose by 11.2 per cent, Subaru Canada is on track to set a new milestone in company history, making 2012 its best year yet. The Subaru Impreza also experienced record- breaking September results as sales rose by 207.9 per cent versus the same month last year. Subaru’s WRX/STI sales also rose by 17.6 per cent and up 4.0 per cent year- to-date. In its second full month of sales, the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek exceeded expectations and sold 67.6 per cent above its projected target.
