Grip : GRIP June 2012
LETTERS GRIP Check out subaru.com.au POSITIVE FEEDBACK CONTINUES The GRIP letterbox has been full this month, with many good stories coming in from around the country. Our first letter, from Chris Gately, is a wonderful reminder of the strength of the Subaru safety story. A horrific crash survived, leaving mother and daughter to cherish a coffee together. The next letter comes from Mr and Mrs Kiteley, from Bomaderry in NSW, and the final one was received by Subaru Interactive @ Docklands General Manager, Peter Mullan, from Enzo Romano. Well done to all involved for continuing to build the good name of Subaru. Dear Subaru, When it was time for our daughter to start driving, we wanted to get the safest car we could get for her, so we purchased a Subaru Impreza. This car has run faultlessly for over 118,000 kilometres in the past 6 years. On Friday 11APR12, my daughter was involved in a single vehicle rollover accident, in which the car flipped four times (as reported by a witness). Through the grace of God and the protection provided to her by this amazing Subaru, she walked away from this accident with only a minor bruise to her right shoulder and some neck muscle stiffness. Can I request that you forward this letter of my family’s appreciation to all employees at Subaru in Australia so that they know what a great product they sell and maintain. I would also request this letter of appreciation be sent to Japan, especially to: • The Engineers that have created such a safety cell for the car’s occupants; my daughter’s life is testament to your ability and we thank you. • The Production Workers in Japan that build these magnificent cars – thank you ALL, your professionalism and craftsmanship is to be commended; our daughter is still with us as a result of your great work. We will soon be replacing this car with, YES, another SUBARU in the near future. The photos are of the car after rolling four times. Thanks Subaru employees, God bless you all. Chris, Fiona, Hope and Luke Gately (Mackay, Queensland, Australia) ****** Dear Geoff and Dave, Just a little note to say a “thank you” for your care and kindness to Jack and myself. We are just so grateful to have you both caring for our car, and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate your service and help to us. As you know we are very happy with our Subaru, it’s a really good car! Mr and Mrs J. Kiteley, Bomaderry, NSW ****** Dear Peter I’m Enzo Romano (the one that purchased the 2012 Impreza on the 18/04/2012). I am writing to congratulate you and your staff and a great organisation you are leading. You’ve put together a well performing and highly efficient team. I have been amazed at the professionalism and courteous approach your staff have shown me throughout this deal, from the first question asked to the last handshake. I’ve dealt directly with three sales representatives, Virginia Graham, Jenna Tufo (my darling because she’s Italiana) and Deon Adams. I couldn’t speak highly enough of them, and that’s not to say that the others were not. I’ve been welcomed with a smile on their face from everyone, the very moment I entered the showroom, asking promptly if I wanted any help. That tells me that I am dealing with professionals and that is what it’s all about. The presentation and hand over of the vehicle was just incredible, something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. For me, that event on that special day was a very emotional and rather sad moment, due to my personal circumstances. I couldn’t hold back my tears in wishing and hoping for that special person to be present, something that could never be. Thank you for all that you have done for me. I have one word that describes your organisation .... EXCELLENT! There is one small hitch though, but true to my honesty I’ll have to let you know about it and that is...... I don’t think I can buy another new Subaru next year. But.... you never know your luck in a big city. Ciao to you and all of your staff - Enzo Romano Despite an horrific crash, the Gately’s daughter was able to emerge unscathed from her Impreza.
