Wine offer “Impressive Impreza - this one was wor th the wait” was the headline summing up Subaru’s small with it all. Impreza review Subaru Australia will be honoured with a visit by Mr Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, FHI’s new President and CEO, in July. President’s visit Gary Johnston National Sales Manager The 4 Days in May Sale contributed to a fantastic result for Subaru where we set a new record for the month, with sales of 3803 vehicles, bringing our year- to-date sales to 17,240, also its best result for the period. Congratulations to everyone involved. We are right on track for an all time record result in 2012. Topping May sales was Forester with 1109. New generation Impreza sales of 1033 were up 50.1 per cent on May last year, while XV sales of 704 were constrained by supply, due to sheer demand for the car. Outback also sold 442, Liberty 415 and Tribeca 100. There were some fantastic individual results as well, with Docklands, Glen Waverley and Denlo Subaru (Parramat ta) all recording DEALER STATS sales of over 100 cars, and with McGrath Subaru (Liverpool) and Jarvis Subaru (Adelaide) in the high 90s. No doubt it is the growth of the SUV market that is really helping us, and creating plenty of opportunities. In May, SUV sales represented 28.0 per cent of total sales, compared to 22.2 per cent for May last year. Year-to-date, SUV sales represent 27.9 per cent of the total market, compared to 23.3 per cent this time last year. There is little doubt that in the near future, SUVs will account for 30 per cent of total industry sales. When you look at our SUV line-up of XV, Forester, Outback and Tribeca, we are in a good position to capitalise on this fundamental change to the industry. These are exciting times, and with extra emphasis going into building Impreza sales starting in June, and continuing across the remainder of the year, things can get even better.
