Grip : GRIP May 2012
SALES & ACCESSORIES GRIP Gary Johnston National Sales Manager THE 4 Days in May sale was a runaway success on debut. Congratulations to all involved, from those that put the campaign together, to those that backed it with their own advertising efforts, and to everyone who made it all work in retail land when potential customers became Subaru owners. The sale resulted in an all time record order intake. We FOUR DAY SETS NEW RECORD took over 1250 orders. The previous best effort was 1119 sales as part of the 2008 Fast Start campaign. The Sydney region took 362 of those orders, Eastern 143, Melbourne 213, Brisbane 153, Northern 74, Western 189, Southern 90 while Tasmania had an impressive 44. Forester was the top seller at 364 units. Next up was XV with 315 orders, Impreza with 300, then Outback on 139, Liber ty on 119 and Tribeca with 31. The result was an increase on average sales of 100 per cent, and an outstanding result. Importantly, sales the following week were also very good and we did not lose due to the campaign. Next year we will repeat the 4 Days in May sale, but we will look to do it even better, by including early advice and incentives for service customers, better database advice, improved point of sale material and better dealer support with websites and TV. We think next year we can do 2000! There is no doubt that the dealers who supported with advertising and incentives for sales people did the best. Of course, that campaign is over, but the next one is already underway with promising signs of being another success. Straight after 4 Days in May we began the “Real Deal” end of financial year sale. As you know, there are three main product offerings for our Real Deal sale – for Forester, Outback and Tribeca. For Forester we have three offers, for Outback two, and we have Tribeca at $54,990 drive away, which has been a winner. Don’t forget the “Spin and Win” incentive on Impreza, and, of course, the sales managers’ incentive “Return To Paradise” concludes in May. So there is plenty in this offering for everyone. Good luck with the run to June 30. THE GOOD OIL Chemical Material Data Safety Sheet for all required products.
