MARKETING - PASSENGER GRIP OPEN EYES TO OPPORTUNITY Alicia Cannon Marketing Manager – Passenger MARKETING activity continues to support the exciting new Subaru EyeSightTM technology now available on Liberty 3.6R and Outback 3.6R Premium models. This technology respresents a huge opportunity and it is something that Subaru is spending considerable resources on promoting. During this month, Subaru has sent an EyeSightTM direct mail piece to around 15,000 customers, and each retail outlet should have received additional stock for direct distribution. Additionally, we will send an electronic direct mail to prospects and customers that lists the seven key features of EyeSightTM, with the design of driving traffic to the nearest retailer. Badges have also been sent for staff to wear when on the showroom floor, and all retailers should have received EyeSightTM backlits. Don’t forget that there is great retail support available in addition to what we’ve already mentioned. Retail ad templates are currently available on Subaru Central featuring Liberty and Outback 3.6R Premium models. An EyeSightTM online training program is available through the Subaru Academy, and a product and tech guide is also available on Subaru Central. There are EyeSightTM videos for Subaru TV iPhones as well. If you require any further marketing support to help you promote EyeSightTM, please contact Subaru Marketing as we’d be happy to assist you with your activities. I’d love to hear any feedback you may have on EyeSightTM, so please feel free to contact me on (02) 8892 9205 or alicia.cannon@subaru. com.au. SUBARU’S EyeSightTM driver assist system has won a prestigious Japanese government science and technology award. The five Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) engineers who developed EyeSightTM received the prize for Science and Technology 2012, Development Category, from Japan’s Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. EYESIGHT WINS AWARD The awards honour those who have made noteworthy contributions either to the research and development of science and technology, or to its public understanding. It is the first time FHI has won the award. The FHI representatives recognised in the award all work in the Third Vehicle Research and Experiment Department, Subaru Engineering Division.
