Subaru’s tarmac champ returns Shane Perkins is a Subaru ambassador and cycling sensation. Soon he will be put to the test of defending his world track title. CENTRAL Coast Subaru has been named the national winner of the Subaru Retailer of the Year (ROTY) award. The Gosford retailer joins Eblen Subaru (Glenelg), Melville Subaru (Perth), Hunter Subaru (Maitland), Subaru Glen Waverley (Melbourne) and Subaru Narellan (Sydney) as past winners of the award. The ROTY program sees a winner in each zone, with the highest score becoming the national winner. Bathurst Subaru took the Eastern Region title, while Garry Crick Subaru, in Maroochydore, had the Brisbane Region’s highest score. Wippells Autos in Toowoomba won the Northern Region award and Mandurah Subaru took the Western Region honours. Top Tasmanian dealer was Performance Automobiles in Hobart, while the Hamilton dealer, Cooper Automobiles, took the Southern Region title. Central Coast Subaru was top in the Sydney region and, as the top scorer across the country, was the national winner. Subaru National Sales Manager, Gary Johnston, said: “It is a fantastic effort by Central Coast Subaru and Dealer Principal, Terry Bond, and his team are to be congratulated on taking the number one position.” Ambassador out to defend world title Subaru’s new Impreza has been receiving positive reviews from the motoring media following its launch in south Australia last month.
