The arrival of the latest of fering from Subaru means that 2012 will be a busy year for new product, with more to come. Subaru Managing Director, Nick Senior, says it is an exciting time ahead. “In January we have the arrival of the XV, then the Impreza, then BRZ, then Forester in 12 months time,” Senior said. “Then after that a pure high performance WRX and the all-new Liber tys and Outbacks and the odd surprise thrown in, all meeting the exacting new styling, design, economy, connectivity and environmental standards. “Yes, we have new cars, but we also have new brand promises for the Subarus of tomorrow. “Brand promises that will increase our desirability and drive an ever increasing amount of customers to your showrooms. “We will still be true to our product strengths - Boxer engine, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Subaru value, fun-to-drive, driving confidence and we will continue to promote our strengths, our differences, and zig when the others zag. Senior says that the decision to bring the BRZ to Australia was made only after a great deal of thought as it presented an apparent contradiction. “Yes, the BRZ is rear- wheel drive and it is a disconnection from the brand positioning we have had since 1997.
