Grip : GRIP October 2011
PARTS & ACCESSORIES GRIP JaPan studY tour suCCess Nathan Saddler Service Manager Jarvis Subaru SEPTEMBER heralded the much-awaited RISE incentive visit to Japan. Originally scheduled for April, but postponed due to the Japan earthquake and tsunami crisis, the group comprised a mixture of service, sales and parts managers, along with sales consultants, trade customers and approved crash repairers. Transportation took different forms, from cycling around the streets of Kyoto, to the crowded metropolitan trains, as well as the impressive bullet train (Shinkansen). For many of us, Japan offered a fantastic cultural experience - from taking in amazing historical settings, the very enlightening jazz bars in Kyoto and the eerie silence of Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park. Some of the tour also became immersed in the Sumo wrestling events that are held regularly in Tokyo. Despite some patchy weather, taking the form of a typhoon on our third day, our guides displayed the resilience, strength and pride that the Japanese people are renowned for in shuffling accommodation and train bookings late into the night. Their efforts, combined with that of David Martin’s Unlimited Events, ensured a seamless and rewarding experience for all. On behalf of the retail network, my thanks go to Colin, Deon and Blair for a fantastic incentive. We all look forward to next year. Kampai!! THE full size Outback spare wheel kit (SAX3000) was introduced in 2010, consisting of alloy, tyre, pump and brackets to mount into the spare wheel compartment. Due to the tyre requiring slight deflating to allow it to fit into the car wheel well, a 12 v pump is provided to inflate the tyre to the correct pressure. From MY12, all Subaru Outback vehicles will come with a full size spare as standard fitment. We currently have a limited amount of Outback spare wheel kits in stock and are now offering them at a special price of $550 including GST, with an RRP of $700. The standard RRP is $1526, so the new offer is a considerable saving over purchasing all items individually, and convenient by having the tyre pre-fitted and balanced. Orders are to be placed through your par ts department, on Part Number SAX3000.
