Grip : GRIP July 2011
narellan subaru no. 1 RETAILER OF THE YEAR GRIP SUBARU Narellan has been named Subaru’s 2010 National Retailer of the Year. To be in the running for this prestigious award, retailers not only have to achieve sales targets, but record strong customer service ratings in both sales and service. “Rob Thomson and his team at Subaru Narellan not only excelled in meeting sales targets, but they also embraced our All 4 the Driver philosophy when it comes to customer service,” Subaru Managing Director, Nick Senior, said. This is the first time Subaru Narellan have received the award. Other award winners were Subaru Geelong, who finished second in the national award and was named the Southern Retailer of the Year. It is one of Victoria’s strongest family businesses and recently completed construction of a state-of- the-art sales and service facility. Port Macquarie capped an outstanding year by finishing third in the national award and winning the Eastern Region award. The Northern Region winner was Wippells Autos at Toowoomba, who recently celebrated 40 years in business – 23 of which have been as a Subaru retailer. Neil Buckby Motors, Launceston, was named the top Tasmanian dealer. Jarvis Subaru in Adelaide SUBARU Australia and the nation’s favourite snow resort, Perisher, have announced they will continue their par tnership again this year, with the vehicle brand remaining the resor t’s major car sponsor until at least 2013. The deal will continue to build on Subaru’s overall aim to enhance its customers’ driving experience to and in the snow, and will involve a range of cross-promotional activities, Subaru- sponsored events, and digital initiatives for snow- goers over the next two years, and into the future. The integrated season- long activities, which align closely with Subaru’s own ‘All 4 The Driver’ campaign, aim to engage visitors to the resor t through numerous co-branding opportunities with Subaru providing the resort with vehicles for the duration of the par tnership. Together, Subaru and Perisher hope the sponsorship will also see more of Subaru’s customers heading to the slopes, given the vehicles’ All-Wheel Drive capabilities, which make them perfect for keeping control in adverse weather conditions and minimising the need for snow chains. Subaru Australia is positive about continuing the sponsorship again this year, as Andrew Caie, General Manager Marketing, explained. “Our customers have a passion for the outdoors, and our vehicles are the perfect way to get to the Australian snow fields, making our par tnership with Perisher the perfect fit. This year will see us explore, together, even more ways to offer more value for new and existing Subaru customers.” Neil Thew, Public Relations and Business Development Manager for Perisher, added: “We’re ex tremely excited to be working with Subaru again this year. The brand has huge appeal to Perisher’s market. Reliability, comfor t and style in the outdoors are at tributes both our companies share. We look forward to continuing to work with Subaru over the coming years.” Perisher has already enjoyed a good star t to the snow season, which is set to continue until September. subaru and Perisher RESULTS National 1.
