GRIP JULY 2011 SUBARU’S NETWORK NEWS CLICK ONTHE PAGETO ZOOM looking good at melbourne motor show SUBARU made a major impact at the Australian International Motor Show (AIMS) in Melbourne, showcasing four exciting examples of future designs and technologies. On show, on its biggest ever Australian motor show stand, was the exciting XV Concept, the new generation Impreza (both sedan and hatch), the innovative EyeSightTM safety system and the turbocharged Liberty B4 GT300, a firm favourite among race enthusiasts in Japan. Melbourne marks the first time that the XV and the Impreza have been seen at the one location, and the show also sees the international debut of the right hand drive Impreza. Speaking at the show’s media day, Subaru Managing Director, Nick Senior, said the display of new technology was a big statement by the brand. “The concept car, the new models, the Liberty B4 GT300 make a big statement, and are probably the show stoppers,” Senior said. big Challenges - strong Future Retailer of the Year JARVIS Subaru, based right in the heart of Adelaide, is now the country’s newest Subaru dealership. Subaru Narellan has taken Subaru’s top honour and been named the brand’s 2010 National Retailer of the Year. MR Mitsuru Takada, Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief General Manager of the Subaru Overseas Sales and Marketing Depar tment, spoke to the media during the official launch of the Subaru stand at the Australian International Motor Show. He told the attending media that Japan, and his company, had faced many challenges since the devastating earthquake and tsunami earlier this year.
